Core Culture: Optimize Sustainable Practices

At Carolina Ingredients we have a number of programs in place to assist us to reach our sustainability goal. We have solar panels on our roof, which provide electricity to light the building and heat water for the front office. 2^nd quarter 2013, we saved almost 9900kg of CO2 from entering the atmosphere -- that is the equivalent of 2 passenger cars off the road for a year. Our recycling program has saved 6 trees year to date. We also converted company cars to hybrids - since January we have realized savings of almost $1000.00 in gasoline expenses plus reduced our carbon footprint.
