On March 29th, 2022 I was elected to serve a 3 year term as a Director at Large for SNAC International. SNAC International was founded in 1937 and is the leading international trade association for the snack industry representing over 400 companies worldwide, including suppliers, marketers, and manufacturers. With its 3 pillars of education, advocacy, and networking, SNAC is committed to connecting the snack industry to create growth and opportunity.

Carolina Ingredients has been a strong contributing member of SNAC International since 2007 and our membership and participation allows us to network and grow our business with snack processors all over the world.

SNAC's Legislative Summit 2022

On June 8th and 9th, I had the privilege of participating in SNAC's 2022 Legislative Summit. Along with other members of SNAC International, I was able to directly engage & lobby with Members of Congress and their staff to discuss key issues, network and collaborate on the challenges affecting our business. The 4 issues we discussed were:

Carolina Ingredients Advocating for Changes Within the Food Industry

Meeting With Members of Congress

I met with Representative Ralph Norman from SC who is our state representative for our district. In addition to discussing the above, I invited him for a plant tour to showcase our upgraded facility and new equipment as well as discuss the Carolina Panthers new training facility debacle! I was also able to meet with Cindy Hyde-Smith from MS who sits on the Senate Appropriations & Agriculture Nutrition and Forestry committee, Tim Scott from SC and David Scott from GA. Each meeting was a great opportunity to meet the Member of Congress and their staff and advocate for their support of certain bills on Capitol Hill. It also allowed us to offer our assistance and be a resource for them when they have questions about any issues related to the food industry.
